See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1) Our theme passage for this school year, chosen by our current 8th grade students, will be a constant reminder that our Father in heaven loves us and showers blessings on his children each and every day.
Does this mean our students won’t have difficult days? Does this mean homework will come easy for everyone? Does this mean we won’t have suffering and loss? The answer to these questions are, “no.” The comfort that the teachers will remind our students each and every day is that their Savior Jesus loves them and gave himself up for them as a perfect sacrifice so we can all be together with Jesus in heaven someday.
The new school year is underway and God continues to bless St. John. We have an enrollment of 164, two new teachers on staff, two teachers in different positions from last year and God continues to keep everything running smoothly. It is such a blessing to see the children and their smiling faces again after the long summer. Please pray for our students, teachers, and staff members that we may all continue to grow as children of God, because that is what we are!
