Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Christmas is just around the corner, and the busy of Christmas is underway. This is my favorite time of year...the holiday baking, the Christmas trees and lights, gift and presents, and just pure, utter joy! But, Christmas is so much more than all of those things. Christmas is the celebration of the Christ-child who would live the perfect life and die an innocent death, all so I can be with him in heaven some day. The joy and peace of Christmas is focused in our Savior, the baby born in the manger!
The fifth grade at St. John wishes you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! Rejoice in the God who sent his Son! Rejoice that we are forgiven! Rejoice with the angels in saying, "Glory to God in the highest!"
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
