I am originally from Lake City, Minnesota, which is a small river valley town right on the Mississippi River. Most of my family still lives in the Lake City area. I have three sisters, four brothers, and fourteen nieces and nephews. There are a lot of us, but that is exactly what I love about my family!
I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in history. I have a passion for teaching, and I am so blessed to be doing what I love each and every day!

Saginaw, Michigan is where I spent most of my life because my father was a pastor at St.Paul’s for 24 years. He recently accepted a call to serve as the pastor at Zion Lutheran church in East Farmington, Wisconsin. I graduated from Martin Luther College this past May with a double major in Elementary Education and Secondary Physical Education. At MLC, I was blessed to compete for four years in basketball and in track & field. I coached track & field at New Ulm Public high school for 2 years.
I am married to Brittany Brassow (Wendt) from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Brittany will be finishing up school at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota this fall. Brittany and I love any outdoor activity that involves movement. I have passion and enthusiasm for the teaching ministry which come from some amazing role models in my life who have lived the blessings of being called workers. Brittany and I look forward to building relationships and serving the Lord with such a wonderful congregation!

Hello, my name is Paul Kelm. I'll be teaching fourth grade at St. John Lutheran School beginning in 2017. My wife's name is Jennifer. Our children are Ben, Josh, and Lydia. They are 15, 13, and 11 years old.
We are excited to be starting at St. John Lutheran.
Before teaching in Redwood Falls, I taught in Milwaukee at Risen Savior Lutheran School. Ben, Josh, and Lydia went to school at Bethlehem Lutheran School in Menomonee Falls and Germantown. Mrs. Kelm was a part-time teacher there. Prior to that, we lived in Plzen, Czech Republic, where my wife, Jennifer, and I taught at Martin Luther School. All three of our children, Benjamin, Joshua, and Lydia were born in the Czech Republic.
Previous to teaching in Plzen, I taught in Gibbon, Minnesota, Tsuchiura City, Japan, and in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
